Vineyards of character, exceptional terroirs
Burgundy is famous for its "Climats", classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
These are townlands or precisely delimited plots of vines, which have given rise to a mosaic of highly renowned vineyards classified into denominations and even appellations. Today 635 climats are classified under the Villages 1er Cru appellation and 33 are classified under the Grand Cru appellation.
Our wine sites in Burgundy and Beaujolais
The Maison François Martenot, located in the heart of the Cote de Beaune in Meursault, has a long and prestigious history, forged in this magnificent Burgundy vineyard. Our culture and our know-how mastered over several generations, our passion for the land and wine are essential values to us.
Our House aims to offer all the wealth and diversity of Burgundy, from regional appellations to the most prestigious vintages and crémants. Our most iconic names are Maison Moillard, François Martenot, Chartron et Trébuchet or Reine Pedauque.
Closely attached to the values of solidarity and tradition, we participate each year in the Hospices de Beaune and Hospices de Nuits wine auctions. In Beaujolais, we are the exclusive distributor of the wines of the Hospices de Beaujeu estate.
Our properties and estates in the Burgundy region
Our House is rooted in the Grande Bourgogne vineyards through our 13 properties, totalling 325 hectares of vineyards extending from the Chablisien to the Mâconnais regions all the way up to Beaujolais. Each of them reveals a different facet of the diversity of the terroirs and styles offered by the Burgundy wine-growing region. Among the plots we operate, many are classified as Premiers Crus and Grands Crus :
Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, Chablis 1er Cru Beauroy, Pommard 1er Cru Les Epenots... The Domaine Marguerite Carillon is one of the jewels in the crown, not to mention the Michaut and Carrion estates in the Chablisien region or the Château de la Tour de l'Ange and the Domaine du Chapitre in the maconnais region
Our teams in the Burgundy region
Today, 250 employees work to produce our House's excellent wines. Our teams work in the vineyards, in our 13 properties and 5 wine-making sites that are dotted around the Chablisien, Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, Hautes Côtes and Mâconnais regions.
We also have sites in Aloxe-Corton and Savigny-les-Beaune dedicated specifically to the maturing of our precious vintages as well as a bottling site in Vignoles. This strong regional presence enables us to make the wines very close to the terroirs where the grapes are grown.
